When I was in college, I really wanted to study abroad preferably in Japan, but China would be 0K too. I had the opportunity to study abroad, some financial help was available to study in France, but I turned it down in hopes the opportunity to go to Japan would arrive. I turned out, I never went to Asia.I remember in college, most guys wanted to travel to Asia, especially Japan. I also remember most girls wanted to travel to Europe.It's been years since college already, and I still want to go to Japan or China. A lot of my friends are starting to be able to afford taking a trip. But the trend continues, the guys want to go to Asia while the girls want to go to Europe.Why does this tendency exist?
Advice on traveling to Asia?
I'm thinking of potentially going somewhere in Asia this upcoming summer, and I wanted advice on places to maybe visit. Tokyo and Hong Kong seem really cool, but I'm opening up to suggestions. I'm looking for places that are a good balance of modern and historical, have kind people, are safe, and have great food, culture, and fun things to do, regardless of your age. Any help would be strongly appreciated P.S. It would be nice if any of the places you might suggest have a decent amount of English speakers
Can i travel to Asia if i am on Disability?
I am on Disability and the reason being is because i have been diagnosed with a reality problem schizophrenia i which i create a false sense of reality and it creates problems where i have anxiety attacks, brought on from being extremely SHY. But i have some money saved up from work from before for the travel.And wanted to know. If i travel while i am receiving benefits will they my payments be stopped?I want to travel to Thailand or China for about a week or two.I think it will help me work over illnesses of being shy and get out and explore life.They stated " You are being approved to get some cash to get you back on your feet" So would it be o.k. if i traveled?Please, i will rate the most answers. How do Northwest's baggage limits for travel to Asia work?
I'm flying from Asia to the US. On Northwest's website, it seems to say that I can have 2 pieces of checked baggage for free. They give size and weight limits 50 pounds . Are the limits for each bag or for the total of two bags?I'm assuming that the same is for the size measurements too then, right? ie, each bag must fit the height length width, there number is not a total .
Travelling to Asia on American Airlines...Baggage question?
I am travelling to Vietnam on American Airlines...I depart from Kansas City to chicago then to shanghai. It says on their website that I can have 2 checked bags with no charge b c I am travelling to Asia. Will the stop in chicago cause my baggage to be charged? Also...when i get to shanghai I fly to Hanoi on Vietnam Airlines...will it be different, i looked on the vietnam airlines website but i am confused. If anyone has flown a similar route on american airlines...i would love some input. I will have to check 2 bags fyi
